AUDITIONS

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Jarrott Productions! We do not currently have any open auditions. Please check back often.

Jarrott Productions is pleased to announce auditions for our winter and spring productions of The Shark Is Broken by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, and Dial M For Murder adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, both directed by JP Artistic Director David R. Jarrott.

Auditions will be on Friday, September 20, from 7-10pm and Saturday, September 21 from 2:30-4:30pm at Violet Crown City Church. Auditions are by appointment only and will consist of readings of sides from the script. Callbacks are scheduled for Sunday, September 22 from 1-4pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Since we are auditioning for a total of 6 characters in two different plays, we would ask that actors who might want to sign up for more than one of the characters,  to please sign up for only ONE character for each play. To do that, please submit twice—once for each play, but for only one character in each play. At the time of your audition, you may also note other roles you are interested in playing and we take that into consideration. Time permitting, you also may be asked to stay and read a different character on your preliminary audition day, and/or you may be called back to read for more than one character.

SPRING PRODUCTION: Dial M For Murder

About The Play:

Dial M For Murder is a new adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher of the celebrated stage play by Frederick Knott that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece 1954 film. Tony is convinced that his wife Margot has been cheating on him and, in his jealousy, spins a web of suspicion and deception that will ensnare all of them in danger, recrimination, and murder. Still set in early 1950s London, the modern updates allow for a more interesting love triangle with even harsher consequences if it were revealed.
