ABOUT THE SHOW:

The title is a joke. It's also completely true.

Jarrott Productions is excited to bring this Southwest Regional Premiere of Bisexual Sadness from L.A. playwright India Kotis to Austin, in only its second ever production.

Faye is about to marry the man she loves. The catch? Part of her wishes he were a woman, because marrying him means fighting to keep her place in the queer community she calls home. The play is a warm, messy, genuinely funny interrogation of identity, belonging, and love. What happens to who you are when who you love changes how people see you?

Performances run November 5–22, 2026, at Trinity Street Playhouse (901 Trinity St., inside First Baptist Church of Austin).

Showtimes are Thursdays–Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. It runs approximately 70 minutes with no intermission.

Recommended for ages 14 and up. Contains strong language and frank sexual conversation.

Tickets are $15–$35 and all seating is general admission.

SPECIAL PERFORMANCES:

  • Champagne Opening: Friday, November 6 at 7:30pm, with reception to follow the performance.
