WHAT THE CRITICS SAID…ABOUT LIFESPAN
"This Austin premiere of The Lifespan of a Fact marks Jarrott Productions' welcome return to live onstage performance after the debilitation of the Covid pandemic... Any stage actor would love this play. The atmosphere, the geometry of the set, and the video-projected backgrounds…a play that speaks volumes with its silence... As the action progresses in exquisite slow rhythms, edges soften and barriers melt. Director David R. Jarrott knows to a fare-thee-well the play’s requirements for pacing and adroitly instills them...The Lifespan of a Fact must be seen by anyone with a heart and a mind...Perfect."
--David Glen Robinson/Central Texas Live Theatre
"Director David Jarrott has done a masterful job…His deep understanding of the characters shows in his performers every moment. Stage veteran Janelle Buchanan is perfectly cast…her presence demands attention and Buchanan delivers. As the young fact checker, Will Douglas gives a spectacular performance with his engaging presence... Rounding out the trio of performers is Carlo Garcia…quite simply magnetic on stage. The trio play perfectly off of each other in a master class of acting talent.
The production qualities showcase Jarrott Productions attention to detail and do it proud. From Patrick Anthony's stunning lighting design to his fantastic set design, everything is a feast for the eyes. Lowell Bartholomee visual design is flat out the best I've seen in town. Watching the sun rise over Nevada and the rain on the windows in New York brought tears to my eyes."

"There's a vicarious thrill watching a very strong team of seasoned professionals in their various fields collaborate on one focused goal. The provocative work The Lifespan of a Fact is seamless, drawing together award-winning designers and actors for a night of rare chemistry… David Jarrott has 67 years of performance in various mediums and capacities, and it shows. He demonstrates his sure hands by producing and directing this fine effort. Master actors Carlo Lorenzo Garcia and Janelle Buchanan weave a story so taut yet filled with good humor. They perform with precision and deft nuance. William Gibson Douglas provides solid color and dynamics as the earnest young intern assigned to his first big story. Jarrott assembled a pitch perfect production team for this Broadway hit play."
