Directed by David R. Jarrott
MAY 14 thru 31, 2026
at TRINITY STREET PLAYHOUSE

ABOUT THE SHOW:

sometimes you have
to lose your way
to find your way

Fresh from its New York City premiere, Jarrott Productions presents the Southwest Regional Premiere of George Ayres’ Destination, a poignant, funny, and deeply human new play about second chances.

When 83-year-old widower and retired architect Howard Wright faces unexpected personal and health-related crises, he escapes his Houston assisted living facility, determined to break free from his own stasis and take matters into his own hands.
Destination is a bittersweet yet humorous look at life and love among a generation that is on the losing end of both of those notions.

Performances run May 14 – May 31 at Trinity Street Playhouse, with shows Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm.
Tickets range from $15–$35. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.

With Destination, former Austinite George Ayres draws from his family history to tell a distinctly Texas story that reminds us: it’s never too late for life to surprise us!
